The American rock band, Deerhunter, who hails from Atlanta, Georgia, recently played a show at the House of Vans this past Saturday, according to Brooklyn Vegan. The venue, House of Vans Brooklyn, is said to be closing at the end of the month, so the Deerhunter show was a special one. The set opened with two songs from their album, Microcastle/Weird Era Cont, which is celebrated its 10th anniversary this past Sunday, August 19th. Though a few songs from the set included old material, the set included mostly new material. Bradford exclaimed to the crowd saying their new album, which was finished that morning with the support from Cate Le Bon would come out later this year.

Those lucky fans who found themselves in attendance that night got renditions of “Revival,” “Desire Lines,” “What Happens To People,” “No One’s Sleeping,” and “Snakeskin,” which ended the show. The full setlist and video of the performances can be viewed down below.

The last show set for House of Vans is scheduled for this Friday, August 24th and includes performances from Interpol, Gang Gang Dance, and Honduras.

Deerhunter consists of members of Bradford Cox, Moses Archuleta, Lockett Pundt, Josh McKay, Javier Morales and Rhasaan Manning. They formed in 2001 and had seven studio albums under their belt including their debut album, Turn It Up Faggot. The band’s third studio album Microcastle was released August 19th via iTunes after accidentally being leaked. Though Weird Era Cont was released later, the record is considered to be two halves of a whole. Deerhunter has recently wrapped up their 2018 Summer tour.

Their upcoming new album, the working title for it is said to be Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared? follows their 2015 acclaimed album entitled Fading Frontier. On the new record, the band is joined by Welsh singer-songwriter Le Bon, who is known for her collaborations with Perfume Genius and Kevin Morby as well as for her solo works. The album has no official release date but when it does will come out via the band’s record label, 4AD. Check back often for updates.
