Musician and entrepreneur Yoshiki is set to perform at the Grand Opening of Japan House Los Angeles at Hollywood & Highland on Fri., August 24th. The newly completed facility is purposed to represent Japan’s culture and its relationship to the world. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 PM and will be strictly reserved to political and cultural figures as well as some lucky American fans.
Yoshiki has been listed as an advisor for Japan House as well as honorary advisor Larry Ellison. Yoshiki has always had a vibrant and progressive career performing and composing different genres of music. The musician is more commonly known to have been one of the founders of the popular heavy/speed metal band from Japan called X Japan. In addition, Yoshiki has also worked on several classical music albums and compilations. In one instance in particular, the Japanese government actually requested Yoshiki to create and perform a classical song in honor of the tenth anniversary of Emperor Akihito’s inauguration. While being an icon in Japan, Yoshiki has also done charity work in other countries including the U.S. The generous musician has a foundation in America that has donated money for people in need like those that were affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Yoshiki’s performance at the Japan House Grand Opening will certainly be a memorable experience. The performance will artistically represent the restaurant’s mission and will start the business off on the right foot. While this ceremony is reserved for privates guests, those curious about the new facility will have access to it the following day. The restaurant’s official opening to the public will be on Aug. 25th and will be a great addition to the rich culture of Los Angeles.
