Radkey Are At Home Hanging Out in the “Basement” in New Video

Sibling punk-rock trio Radkey are back with a new video for their latest single, “Basement.” While the song has anthemic choruses that are relatable to any young musician and strong production values (but not over-production) from Descendents drummer Bill Stevenson, the clip itself is a low-fidelity affair that showcases the brothers rocking out in the titular downstairs room, joined by the family cat.

“Basement” follows the band’s sophomore LP Delicious Rock Noise, which was released in 2016 and was the follow-up to their breakthrough debut Dark Black Makeup (though the two records are essentially the same release, with the 2016 album featuring two new songs). The next year, mxdwn had the opportunity to speak with bassist Isaiah before the band played SXSW 2017. The band’s name is a slight alteration of their last name, Radke and is managed by their father Matt Radke, keeping it all in the family.
