Alice in Chains @ Hollywood Palladium 8/29

Praised rock band Alice in Chains will be performing at the Hollywood Palladium on Wed. August 29th. Joining them will be fellow bands The Pink Slips and Starbenders. General admission standing tickets will cost fans $59.50 with VIP balcony access costing $85. This show is the fifth show on their tour schedule with their new album releasing five days prior.

Alice in Chain’s new album Rainier Fog is scheduled to release August 25th, which will be their sixth official studio album. This a great accomplishment for the band after coming a long way since their first album Facelift from 1990. The popular band has gone through several bumps throughout the years, including the death of lead vocalist Layne Staley in 2002 and the death of Mike Starr in 2011. Since these tragic losses, the band had recruited William DuVall to fill the role as co-lead vocalist and guitarist. Despite the hardships, Alice in Chains have happened to find great success touring vastly throughout the countries while also releasing music videos.

However, their live shows were put on hold all of 2017 leaving fans downhearted. It wasn’t until April of this year that the band finally started to perform again. With their live shows starting back up, it was stated by the band that their upcoming album is supposed to convey all that they have endured. It is a relief to say that the talented band is back again. This time with a message that depicts their roots, accolades, and struggles.

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
