Skrillex Joins His Old Post-Hardcore Band From First To Last For New Song “Surrender”

Skrillex re-joins his old band From First to Last. They have just released their first single together, “Surrender.” From First to Last is a hardcore band made up of guitarist Matt Good and Travis Richter, drummer Derek Bloom, and vocalist Sonny Moore aka Skrillex.

The band’s new single, “Surrender,” features lead vocals from Skrillex. Their previous single “Make War” marked their reunion. “Make War” was the first song that they had worked on together in more than a decade. That single earned 13 million plays to date.

After a world premiere interview  with KROQ, the band released their new single “Surrender” yesterday. Listen below:

The band, From First To Last, formed in 1999. Moore left in 2007 to embark on his solo career as Skrillex. As a solo artist, he made a name for himself creating two full length albums and countless singles featuring other notable artists like Justin Bieber, 2 Chainz, Aluna George, and Missy Elliot.

Fans are not sure what caused the change that lead Skrillex back to this band. Different than solo work, the change will be one that fans need to get used to or if they have been fans from the beginning it may feel like they have come full circle.
