Rage Against the Machine and Prophets of Rage’s Tom Morello has been teasing new project on social media. Prophets of Rage are also working on and releasing a new album at some point this year.
Morello’s social media teases come from his long-time side project, Atlas Underground. This album has been years in the making.
He has lined up contributions and features from Skrillex, GZA, X Ambassadors, Matt Shultz of Cage the Elephant, Knife Party and many others.
This project is one of his side projects. He has been collaborating on the side of his work with Rage Against the Machine and Prophets of Rage. His first collaboration was in 1992 with the American rap group Run DMC and made it to their 1993 album, Down With the King. Morello also played lead guitar and produced a few tracks for Antipop, Primus’ 1999 studio album. He also played guitar on The Faculty Soundtrack and was featured with Class of ’99 for their cover of Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall (part 2).”
