Playboi Carti @ Shrine Expo Hall 7/26

Following the release of his debut album, Die Lit, Playboi Carti has announced several stops in the states for his tour. According to the tour schedule, Carti’s second stop will be in Los Angeles. The show will be held at the Shrine Expo Hall on Thursday, July 26th. Doors will open at 8:00 PM, however, the turn up won’t actually begin until 9:00 PM. Carti fans of all ages will be able to attend the event and will be able to purchase tickets from around $34.50 to $39.50.

In addition to his tour announcement, Carti has also released the music video for the R.I.P. track off the album. The music video features a punk-style mosh-pit, which essentially represents the whole album. This rebellious character portrayal is something that Carti is good at maintaining. Ever since his early days on SoundCloud, Carti has always released music that is hype and catchy. Furthermore, the popular rapper is specifically talented at making tracks for parties. Ever since Magnolia, more people have been aware of Carti’s potential in the mainstream market.

Die Lit was a highly anticipated album that fans were patiently waiting for after the release of his debut mixtape from last year. The album features hard hitting 808s, catchy melodies, and numerous featured artists. A few of these features include Lil Uzi Vert, Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, and Young Thug. That being said, it’s probable that these artists just might happen to make a special guest appearance during Carti’s tour.

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
