Deftones Announce Inaugural Dia De Los Deftones Featuring Mike Shinoda, Rocket From the Crypt and More

Deftones have announced their inaugural “Dia de Los Deftones Festival” will take place November 3 in San Diego’s Petco Park at the Park. The lineup will include performances by Future, Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park), Rocket from the Crypt, H09909, Doja Cat, Voww and Vein, according to Consequence of Sound.

Frontman Chino Moreno says of the upcoming festival: “For years, we’ve played on festivals with such amazing and diverse line-ups and that is what we have achieved with our first line-up for ‘Dia de Los Deftones.’ We want this event to be a celebration; with the incredible artists we’ve assembled, and the experiences we’re curating for the festival site, it’s going to be a wonderful day and night for all who join us.”

Drummer Abe adds, “We are absolutely thrilled to have such fantastic and credible artists joining us on this maiden voyage, and we look forward to bringing it to you.”

According to mxdwn, Deftones are also scheduled to play the upcoming “Louder Than Life Festival” which takes place from Friday, September 28 to Sunday, September 30 in Champions Park in Louisville, Kentucky, and will feature performances by Avenged Sevenfold, Nine Inch Nails and Godsmack.

Rapper, actor and composer Future, who is performing at the upcoming Deftones festival, hails from Atlanta, Georgia and is also scheduled to co-headline the “NickiHndrxx Tour” with Nicki Minaj this fall. The tour begins in September and ends in November in Las Vegas. Future has released six studio albums including his most recent record Hndrxx, in 2017.

Mike Shinoda, also playing event, is currently on tour with upcoming dates in Salt Lake City, Bangkok and Tokyo. Last June, Shinoda released his debut solo studio album, Post Traumatic, via Warner Bros.

Tickets go on sale Friday, July 20 at 10 a.m. PST via Ticketmaster, and start at $75. A pre-sale begins Tuesday, July 17 at 10 a.m. PST.
