Psychedelic Furs with She Wants Revenge @ Pershing Square 7/21

Post-punk pioneer band meets post-punk modern band at Pershing Square in Downtown Los Angeles. The Psychedelic Furs and She Wants Revenge are scheduled to perform during the second week of the Downtown Stage Summer Concerts 2018. Concert goers can catch these two bands on Sat. July 21st for free, however, you must reserve your ticket online for your guaranteed access. As usual, doors will open at 7:00 PM while the first performance will actually begin at 8:00 PM.

The Psychedelic Furs were established during the prime era of the punk movement in London. The original members of the band included, singer Richard Butler, bass guitarist Tim Butler, saxophonist Duncan Kilburn, drummer Paul Wilson, and accompanying guitarist Roger Morris. The band was initially known for their avant-garde style of punk rock and later turned to a more hard rock sound.

She Wants Revenge is a band that may be more commonly known by the younger generation. This new-age rock band was birthed in San Fernando Valley, California in 2004. The band’s lead members consist of the multi-talented Justin Warfield and Adam Bravin. While being favored by the younger crowd, the band acquired more exposure to different audiences during their tours with Depeche Mode and Placebo.

Punk-rock enthusiasts are definitely in for a treat for this event. Musicians and fans will gather in solidarity for the punk scene. Make sure you reserve your tickets so that you do not miss these two iconic rock bands.

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
