Burton C. Bell is the frontman and founding member of the heavy metal band Fear Factory. When he is not making music with his band, he is busy working on other projects. Today, according to Blabbermouth, Bell has announced plans to release the second album from Ascension of the Watchers, his musical collaboration with John Bechdel of Killing Joke, Prong, Fear Factory, and Ministry.

The second album is entitled Stormcrow and is set to release via the PledgeMusic platform. The platform connects artists and fans, giving artists a way to engage with their fans on a more personal level. Fans can watch the campaign’s video, which is narrated by Bell on the project’s official page. There, fans can find out more details about the album’s release. Burton is working on the second album along with Bechdel, Edu Mussi (Still Life Decay) and industrial/electronic artist Jayce Lewis from the U.K at Jayce’s Northstone Studios in Bridgend, Wales. The album features the lead single “Ghost Heart” which is accompanied by a music video created by the Brazilian filmmaker Victor Hugo-Borges.

Ascension of the Watchers was created back in 2002 in Central Pennsylvania as a creative outlet for Bell and Bechdel. The first album, Niminosum, was released in 2008 on Al Jourgensen’s (Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Lard, Pailhead) 13th Planet label. According to Bell’s website, the collaboration is “a vision born of life, love, and spirituality.” The purpose of Ascension of The Watchers is to bring people to a higher level of thinking and feeling by “bringing them together in celebration and reflection in the beauty of life and spirituality, through these melodies and words.”

Bell isn’t the only member of Fear Factory working on outside projects. Guitarist Dino Cazares is working on his upcoming solo album along with Die Krupps and Leæther Strip.

The release dates for both of the albums have yet to be announced and while the campaign for Ascension of the Watchers can be found on the PledgeMusic website, Stormcrow is set to come out via Devfire Entertainment/Cargo Records worldwide sometime in Spring of 2019.
