Tyler, The Creator continues to share more new music with fans, with the latest being “Peach Fuzz.” The song is a follow up to his song “Gelato,” which was just released yesterday. “Gelato” is a rework of Jacquees latest song “No Validation.” Check it out below.
According to Pitchfork, “Peach Fuzz” features Tyler rapping over a Mndsgn produced track, which is a re-work of Prophet’s “Wanna Be Your Man,” who Tyler gives a shout out to in the song. The song also talks about the idea of a short fling with someone. “You said keep it short, this is peach fuzz, contact, couple months, then we out, It’s nothing serious (I wanna be your man) he says in the chorus. Listen to the new song below.
Tyler has released a few other songs this year as well. Those songs include “Okra,” “435 (and its video),” “Rose Tinted Cheeks,” and “Crust In Their Eyes,” which is freestyle over Kanye West’s and Kid Cudi’s track “Kids See Ghosts.” No word yet on if all of these songs will come together on an album.
Tyler’s latest album Flower Boy was released last year receiving critical acclaim, with mxdwn giving it a High Fidelity and calling it his “most meaningful album yet.” It later earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album.
While busy recording new music, Tyler will also be playing multiple festivals this year, including Brooklyn’s Afropunk Festival, Germany’s Melt Festival, and Las Vegas’ Life Is Beautiful Festival alongside The Weeknd, Arcade Fire, Florence and The Machine, and Travis Scott.
