Justice Reimagine Classic Songs for Touring in New Single “D.A.N.C.E. x Fire x Safe and Sound”

French electronic duo Justice are about to release another new album, this one coming out in August of 2018. To be titled Woman Worldwide, the album consists of older Justice songs re-interpreted for the live stage. Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé spent a year honing and refining the songs on the road, morphing them into something completely new. After that period they hit the studio to refine the tracks, emerging with the 14 (15 if you count the bonus track) that make up Woman Worldwide.

The latest single to be released from the record is in fact that bonus track, and it’s a compilation of several of the duo’s most well-known songs into a composition called “D.A.N.C.E. x Fire x Safe and Sound.” The first portion of the song is a reinterpretation of their hit single “D.A.N.C.E.,” which was a part of their breakout album † over a decade ago in 2007. “Fire” and “Safe and Sound” are much more recent songs from the duo, taken from their 2016 album Woman (sense the connection between Woman and Woman Worldwide?). The transitions are effective, moving from the ecstatic bubblegum disco of “D.A.N.C.E.” and transitioning into a killer breakdown right after the four-minute marker.

Justice have been on the road for parts of 2018 and their tour continues through the summer. The band will perform at a few festivals this year, including FIB Benicassim in July, Life is Beautiful at the end of September and Austin City Limits in October.
