Gang Gang Dance Address Police Brutality Over a Pulsing, Push-And-Pull Electro Beat on New Song “Young Boy (Marika in Amerika)”

On June 22, electronic group Gang Gang Dance will release their long-awaited new album Kazuashita. The third song off of the new album has been released today, “Young Boy (Marika in Amerika).” The song serves as a protest against police brutality, with Lizzi Bougatsos singing emphatically about the lives lost.

“Young Boy (Marika in Amerika)” follows previously released songs from Kazuashita, “Lotus” and “J-Tree.”

Gang Gang Dance are setting off on a tour in support of their new album as well. The group, which includes members Bougatsos, Brian DeGraw and Josh Diamond, will hit several new dates, including a pair of shows in Japan with Deerhunter.
