Trent Reznor Says America May Be “The Most Demoralized Country” Because of “Complete Imbecile” President Donald Trump

The ever-outspoken Trent Reznor has been making the media rounds recently as he prepares to release a new Nine Inch Nails EP in the form of Bad Witch, which is set to drop later this month. Reznor has never been one to hold anything back, and Consequence of Sound has reported that he has had some more critical things to say about president Donald Trump. Reznor was recently interviewed for a Mexican outlet called Warp, which asked him, “How does it feel to be an American given the current political situation, with Donald Trump at the helm of the country?”

Reznor responded with this:

I can start by saying that it is a fucking shame that as US citizens we have chosen a complete imbecile. We may be the most demoralized country in the world. I know that many Americans dislike this situation.

I cannot wait for the moment when he is no longer president. Additionally, I want to say that for the first time in my life I feel a country with an existential crisis that is asking, now what? Is it just a shame or we start a war? I think it’s dangerous, it’s just the terrible reflection of a country that devotes itself to consuming social networks and shitty products.

This is not the first time that Reznor has had critical things to say about the president, as he trashed Trump in an interview last year, calling him “a complete fucking moron.”

Reznor is known for being confrontational, and he recently went after a fan on an online forum who bemoaned of the fact that the new album from Nine Inch Nails is relatively short in length, saying that it was more of an EP than a full-length album.

Bad Witch, which is set to be released on June 22nd is the 3rd and final installment of new Nine Inch Nails material, following Not the Actual Events and Add Violence.
