The acclaimed Austin City Limits Festival is back for a 17th year, with another killer lineup that is jam-packed with some of the biggest artists in the world. Taking place over two weekends ( October 5-7 and October 12-14) in Austin’s Zilker Park, ACL promises to deliver yet another incredible experience for festival-goers, with over 125 bands spread across eight stages. Festival organizers hit it out of the park this year, securing headliners such as Paul McCartney, Metallica, the Arctic Monkeys Childish Gambino, Odesza, and Travis Scott. Additionally, the likes of The National, Khalid, Hozier, David Byrne, CHVRCHES, Deftones, Justice, St. Vincent, Sylvan Esso, Father John Misty, Brandi Carlile, Illenium, and Janelle Monáe will be taking to the festival stage. Since its founding in 2002, ACL has developed into one of the premier music festivals in the country, and it looks like this year will wind up being one of the most incredible festivals in America in 2018.

Metallica continues to be the most popular metal band in the world, continuing to add dates to their world tour in support of their latest release, the incredible Hardwired…to Self Destruct. The group continues to be dominant headliner, as evidenced by a show-stopping set at last year’s Outside Lands Festival. The band also recently re-released the groundbreaking Master of Puppets record as well as the Garage Days Re-Revisited EP.

The Arctic Monkeys are back to full speed as a band, as they are set to drop their first new album in five years, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino this Friday. The band also announced full slate of summer and fall tour dates, which will see them returning to North America for the first time in a number of years.

Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino has just recently announced a fall tour that will see him cover most of North America. He also recently delivered killer performance at the Grammy Awards, though there is still no word on any timetable for new music to be released.

You can check out the full lineup on the festival’s website.

UPDATE 9/29: Childish Gambino will not be performing at the Austin City Limits festival due to a recent injury he sustained that has forced him to cancel his upcoming tour dates. He has been replaced on the bill with Lil Wayne and Phoenix, as reported by Consequence of Sound.
