After Ten Years Aly & AJ are Back and Better than Ever.

You may remember these two sisters from their days on the Disney Channel starring in movies like Cowbells and My Super Sweet Sixteen in the early 2000’s. If not, perhaps their smash hit “Potential Breakup Song” will jog your memory. Nevertheless, after ten years Aly and AJ are back with a new EP. Although the sisters haven’t been radio silent for these ten years. After thorough work with rock singers including Green Day, Rivers Cuomo, Weezer, The Goo Good Dolls, and Paramore Aly and AJ decided to change their name to 78 Violet. 78 Violet demonstrated their more unpolished and raw music. Finally, after breaking free from Disney the girls were able to express themselves fully.

Now back to being Aly & AJ, their new album embraces their older pop style with a refinded sound. The songs borrow and are influenced by 80’s pop music, while also including detailed technological beets. Nevertheless, ten years is a long time and it is now time for you to get tickets to see them at the House of Blues Anaheim June 4th.
