Danish punk band Iceage have released a new video for their new song “The Day The Music Dies.” This is the second video released by the band this year, following “Catch It,” released in February and third song overall, following “Pain Killer” featuring Sky Ferrira. “Pain Killer” was described as “bold and brassy” and with Ferrira, Pitchfork described her vocals as the “very embodiment of nonchalant cool.” The song will also be featured on their upcoming album Beyondless, set to be released May 4th. it has been five years since the band has released new music, with their last being the 2013 album Plowing Into The Field Of Love. The video stays true to the band’s style, mixed with some humor and rock and roll. The video begins with the band in a church, with frontman Ronenfelt singing the lyrics as if he were preaching to a choir, with the band as the choir assisting his sermon. The group then go to a spa, as if they are poking fun at the luxurious lifestyle. Check out the video below:

The band will be also hosting residencies in New York and Los Angeles, along with dates in Japan in April in addition to their already announced tour dates in Europe and North America in May and June. This is the band’s first tour in over three years, with their last performance at the annual Bonnaroo Festival in 2015, which takes place in Manchester, Tennessee in June.
