METZ Release New Animated Video for Hard-Hitting Song “Mr. Plague”

Canadian hardcore punk trio METZ, have released a brand new video for the song “Mr. Plague,” a blistering cut off of their 2017 release, Strange Peace. This marks the third time that METZ has worked with director Shayne Ehman, who has created a wild and surreal series of animations that perfectly fit the furious music. The animated video shows a world in decay from the overuse of technology, with plenty of subliminal and surreal images thrown in for good measure.

The world created by Ehman is one of ruin, filled with dark and disturbing imagery that is a wild sight to behold. The song itself if a caustic blast of hardcore fury, riding an aggressive bassline from Chris Slorach and plenty of throat-splitting vocals from Alex Edkins. The direct approach does wonders as the music video perfectly captures the seething rage of Adkins along with his dissonant, angular guitar riffs. METZ have also announced more dates for their 2018 world tour, which will see the band bringing their high-energy stage show to Europe, Japan, and North America.
