Marilyn Manson has long been promoting his October 2017 record Heaven Upside Down, with the third video released today following a teaser of Courtney Love pushing Manson around in wheelchair. “Who allowed Courtney Love to be my nurse?” Manson tweeted. “Oh shit…I did. TATTOOED IN REVERSE.” The video surprisingly also features an appearance from Elvis Presley’s only child, singer Lisa Marie Presley.
After a quick parental advisory, the video for “Tattooed in Reverse” kicks off with Manson performing surrounded by men in solid white masks, as a woman wakes up in a twisted hospital of sorts. Courtney Love and Lisa Marie Presley act as Manson’s nurses, as Love wrestles with him on the operating table and drives the woken woman insane. In the end, the two characters are committed again, as they are separated and sedated. His previous video “Say10” starred Johnny Depp.
Manson, not new to controversy, has been making odd headlines on his tour. This past November he sat in wheelchair in San Bernadino due to a stage injury and fired fake bullets from a fake semi-automatic weapon onto a crowd just hours after a mass shooting took place in Texas. San Bernadino, as well, had it’s own mass shooting in 2015. Just last month, Manson also cut a show early in New York following an “onstage meltdown.” He plans to co-headline twenty-nine date tour with Rob Zombie this summer.
