The Twins of Evil tour will return this summer for 29 dates with co-headliners Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson. Starting in Detroit on July 11th, the pair will be promoting their respective new albums, The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser and Heaven Upside Down.
Zombie and Manson last did the Twins of Evil tour in 2012. For Zombie, the tour with Manson would be a follow-up to his Hellbelly Deluxe 2 World Tour, and for Manson it was a brief intermission from another ongoing set of shows, the “Hey Cruel World…Tour.” The itinerary consisted of shows in the U.S. and Europe.
The pair started feuding pretty early on in the 2012 tour. Most of the fights began with Manson criticizing Zombie for eating into his stage time. On October 11th, 2012, Manson apologized for not playing “Beautiful People” and blamed Zombie. The next day, after deciding that Zombie had been intentionally cutting into his stage time, Manson told the frontman and his fans that he would “beat his ass.” Zombie responded on stage, but regretted having it out with Manson in front of their fans. He later remarked on the argument.
“Co-headlining tours always go smooth because everything is cut 50/50 and I mean everything. No one fucks with anyone’s show. It is even fucking Steven.”
With Manson, apparently, this 50/50 idea wasn’t adhered to. Regardless, given their type of music, fans can hardly expect these musicians not to act the part.
UPDATE (10/2): According to the prp, Manson and Zombie have added an additional date to their Summer Twins of Evil tour. The newly added show will occur on December 29th at the Grand Sierra Theatre in Reno Nevada just in time to close out 2018. Fans can purchase tickets for the new date for they are officially available to purchase. The two have spent all of Summer rocking it out across North America and with the new date closing 2018, fans will welcome 2019 with open arms.
