Montebello Rockfest Announces 2018 Lineup Featuring Prophets Of Rage, Weezer and Tenacious D

The quiet Canadian countryside of Montebello, Quebec may not seem like it could do with anything hard rock, but it is in fact home to one of the country’s most beloved rock events: Montebello Rockfest. The festival has just unveiled its 2018 lineup, featuring quite a collection of headliners.

The June 14-16 event will be celebrating its 13th anniversary, in fact, with a back-to-roots edition which features more than 70 rock, metal, punk, hardcore and even hip-hop outfits. Some of the most prominent headliners include Prophets of Rage, Weezer, Five Finger Death Punch and Godsmack.

Prophets of Rage will be performing a collection of Rage Against the Machine hits, as well as classics by Cypress Hill and Public Enemy. Weezer’s performance this year will actually be their first show in Quebec in four years. In addition, Jack Black and Kyle Gass will be returning to Montebello Rockfest this year as Tenacious D, following a performance before a record-setting crowd at Rockfest 2015.

Other acts on the bill include alt-rockers Stone Temple Pilots, the seasoned pop-punkers A Day to Remember, metal legends Lamb of God, veteran emo act Jimmy Eat World and pop-punk Canadians Sum-41. These acts will be joined by a rock delegation consisting of Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Lagwagon, Millencoin, All Time Low, the Used and others. On the metal front lies Dimmu Borgier with their first Canadian performance in eight years, Venom, Cannibal Corpse, Steel Panther, Motionless in White, Atreyu, Suicide Silence, Every Time I Die, Municipal Waste, etc.

Weekend passes are available this year at a much-discounted price: $99 fees included for the pre-sale, and $149 fees included for the regular sale. Once again, visitors can pay their order in five installments. With the excitement generated up to now, several pre-sales sold out and such a strong lineup, the team is confident that the event will sell out again this year. Tickets can be purchased here.
