Nelsonville Festival Announces 2018 Lineup Featuring George Clinton & The Parliment Funkadelic, The Decemberists And Ani Difranco

Nelsonville Festival has announced the lineup for its event from May 31st to June 3rd in Nelsonville, Ohio at Robbins Crossing Hocking College. This year’s lineup features George Clinton & The Parliment Funkadelic, who has performed at the Hollywood Bowl,  The Decemberists, who has announced I’ll Be Your Girl and releases “Yankee Bayonet (I Will Be Home Then)”, and Ani DiFranco, who has released “Zizzing”.

This festival is an annual festival that began in 2005, and founded by Stuart’s Opera House. The festival was started as an opportunity more people to the city. There are many genres that are performed in this festival such as soul, acoustic, country, folk and bluegrass. Previous artists have been The Royales, Brave Combo and The Avett Brothers.

This year’s lineup George Clinton & The Parliment Funkadelic, The Decemberists, Ani Difranco, The Black Angels, Alvvays, Kevin Morby, Mission Temple Fireworks Revival, Nick Waterhouse, The Gories, Middle Kids, Colter Wall, Earthless, Blueprint, Antibalas, Wooden Shjips, Michael Hurley, Charlie Parr, Sunflower Bean, Bedouine, The Weather Station, Michael Nau, Haley Heynderickx, River Whyless, Shannon Lay, Twain, Counterfeit Madison, Bill Mackay, and Justin Gordon.

This year’s festival features over 60 musical acts on multiple stages. Along with these stages, it includes vendors, kids activities, food, a beer garden, and more. The festival can be reached through biking and the bus system.  There is a $40 to $100 camping and lodging pass. All kids 12 and under have a free entrance. Tickets can cost up to $950 depending on the type of experience wanted from the festival. Tickets are available on the festival’s website.
