Little Boots announces New EP Burn for April 2018 Release And Share New Single “Shadow”

Unveiling “Shadows,” the British artist, musician and DJ, Little Boots, (otherwise known as Victoria Hesketh) excites fans with new  EP “Burn”.

Co- produced by Victoria, Burn collaborates with Joyce Muniz, Lauren Flax, Planning to rock and Cora Novoa and was mixed by Marta Salogni, fresh from her work on the latest Bjork album.

Creating a project focused on female talent Victoria says, she wanted to do this for a long time and “the process was incredibly inspiring.” She goes on to explain;

“The producers involved hail from more underground backgrounds sonically and have very different approaches, but what tied everything together was their open mindedness and embrace of pop hooks and melodies. Since relocating to Los Angeles, Ive been Doing a lot and the shift in sound very much reflects this. In many ways this EP really feels like a rebirth for me. Conceptually, Ive been interested in the themes of desire, lust and lack, so the title “Burn” can be interpreted in many ways, from the burn of desire to the burn of pain; you cannot have one without the other.”

Overall Little Boots describes the song as a reflection of learning to get on with your life, “sometimes the past can get the better of you or overshadow you, and that’s ok. Sometimes you would rather take the darkest traces of someone’s love than lose it altogether, but when you finally break free from the cycle you open yourself to new opportunities, and that’s often when beautiful things start to happen.”

In attempt to channel a dark side and emotive lyrics with an uplifting melody , this helped get a kind of “tears on the dance floor” tension. When making “Shadows,” Little Boots collaborated with Joyce Muniz because of her admiration for her as a producer and DJ, working to clearly be the perfect touch to her vision for the song.

“Shadows” is the first taste from Little Boots forthcoming EP, which is a new project that celebrates and collaborates with the finest female talent in production. Overall fans can expect to hear Little Boots shift even closer the dance-floor, claiming a darker territory but still retaining her signature pop sound.

In its totality, the song is a forward thinking dance production and completes itself, with Victoria’s signature melodies and lyrics. Therefore while waiting on the release of the new EP Burn, the track works to strategically  satisfy fans palates for now.
