I’m With Her, the all-female group comprised of Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O’Donovan, have released their newest song today, following their most recent song release last month. “Game To Lose” is a delightful, mandolin heavy track that carries the three singers voices and creates a folk tune that pleasures the ears. Each one of the members uses their string instrument to take the listener on a journey which takes them where they need, wondering how they can get going, finding themselves through the world.
The new song also is accompanied with a new music video. Directed by Genéa Gaudet, the video takes the viewer around a house where the trio is either singing together, or performing on their instruments solo, with a unique, balanced filming style, similar to a Wes Anderson movie.
The women commented on their new track “On a rainy day in January, we filmed this video in Koreatown, Los Angeles,” says I’m With Her. “Working with Genéa and her team, we were able to capture the evocative nature of the song while exploring color both light and dark. The focus on the triptych of voices coupled with the keen eye of the director left us with a video that really tells a story through the song.”
This new song brings together the sum of three great parts, which will carry them into the rest of the year, hopefully bringing in more music and one of a kind videos.
