Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Schoolboy Q and More Announce Spring 2018 The Championship Tour Dates

Top Dawg Entertainment announced today that their upcoming Championship Tour will include Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Schoolboy Q, and other amazing artists. The Live Nation-hosted tour will span across North America from Vancouver on May 4th to Pittsburgh on June 16th. Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, SiR and Lance Skiiwalker will also join the tour.

Top Dawg managed to put together an impressive roster. Lamar released the universally acclaimed and seven time Grammy nominated album, “DAMN.” last year and then embarked on a long and involved tour. SZA released her long awaited album Crtl that earned her five Grammy nominations. Both SZA and Lamar’s albums made top rank on numerous end of year lists, including those of The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and more.

Top Dawg Entertainment, based in Los Angeles, is also involved in the movie business. Along with Lamar, CEO Anthony Tiffith will curate and produce the soundtrack to Marvel Studios’ new movie, Black Panther. Top Dawg is also releasing SiR’s debut album, November, today. It’s his first release since “Something Foreign,” a hit he created with Schoolboy Q.

Conrad Brittenham: My name is Conrad. I am one year out of college and pursuing a career in writing and journalism. I studied literature at Bard College, in the Hudson Valley. My thesis focuses on the literal and figurative uses of disease in Herman Melville’s most famous works, including Moby-Dick, Benito Cereno, and Billy Budd. My literary research on the topic of disease carried over to more historical findings about how humans tend to deal with and think about the problem of virus and infectivity. I’ve worked at a newspaper and an ad agency, as well as for the past year at an after school program, called The Brooklyn Robot Foundry. All of these positions have influenced the way I approach my work, my writing, and the way I interact with others in a professional setting. I’ve lived in London and New York, and have always had a unique perspective on international cultural matters. I am an avid drawer and a guitarist, but I would like to eventually work for a major news publication as an investigative journalist.
