Ceremonia Festival Announces 2018 Lineup Featuring Beck, Soulwax and St. Vincent

Ceremonia Festival’s return to Mexico this year will feature Beck, Soulwax and St. Vincent. The festival’s lineup, released today, will also include Rae Sremmurd and ginger rocker King Krule. The festival only takes place over the course of a day so fans will have the opportunity to see everyone they want.

Ceremonia’s 2017 show hosted Beach House, Bjork and James Blake. It took place in Toluca, Mexico—where 2018’s festival will also occur—and was big hit. The festival this year will take place on April seventh. Buy tickets here.

Soulwax’s latest album came out in March of last year. The group achieved an album with seamless transitions by recording everything in one take. Using three drummers to lessen each musician’s load, the group accomplished what Miles Davis did in 1959 with Kind of Blue.

Beck came out with a pop album in October of last year, and is scheduled for numerous festivals in 2018. Auckland City Limits, In Bloom and of course Ceremonia will all welcome the prolific musician to their stages in the coming months. St. Vincent as well include Ceremonia festival in their long itinerary of festival stops this year. Fans will be able to enjoy the group’s performances at Pohoda and Coachella Festivals this year. Stay tuned for more information on these artists and be sure to see them at least once this year!

Conrad Brittenham: My name is Conrad. I am one year out of college and pursuing a career in writing and journalism. I studied literature at Bard College, in the Hudson Valley. My thesis focuses on the literal and figurative uses of disease in Herman Melville’s most famous works, including Moby-Dick, Benito Cereno, and Billy Budd. My literary research on the topic of disease carried over to more historical findings about how humans tend to deal with and think about the problem of virus and infectivity. I’ve worked at a newspaper and an ad agency, as well as for the past year at an after school program, called The Brooklyn Robot Foundry. All of these positions have influenced the way I approach my work, my writing, and the way I interact with others in a professional setting. I’ve lived in London and New York, and have always had a unique perspective on international cultural matters. I am an avid drawer and a guitarist, but I would like to eventually work for a major news publication as an investigative journalist.
