CRSSD Festival Announces 2018 Lineup Featuring Empire of the Sun, Cirez D and Jai Wolf

CRSSD Festival announced its electronic lineup for 2018’s showing at San Diego’s Waterfront Park on March third and fourth. The festival’s growing popularity has DJs coming in swarms, as they tend to do. To list off a few names, Empire of the Sun, Cirez D, Sasha, Gorgon City and Jai Wolf will be lurking around playing their tunes.

Tickets for the festival went on sale in late December. In past years the audience has swelled to as many as 15,000 per day. The festival will continue to go for its techno and deep house sound, and will feature a number of performers from out of the country. England, Spain, Australia, and Lebanon will be represented at this year’s fest. As always, CRSSD will reconvene in the fall for the second installment of its biannual run.

Performances will take place across three outdoor stages within the park. CRSSD will continue to be produced by FNGRS CRSD, which has maintained the festival’s popularity since its opening day. Find tickets here.

Conrad Brittenham: My name is Conrad. I am one year out of college and pursuing a career in writing and journalism. I studied literature at Bard College, in the Hudson Valley. My thesis focuses on the literal and figurative uses of disease in Herman Melville’s most famous works, including Moby-Dick, Benito Cereno, and Billy Budd. My literary research on the topic of disease carried over to more historical findings about how humans tend to deal with and think about the problem of virus and infectivity. I’ve worked at a newspaper and an ad agency, as well as for the past year at an after school program, called The Brooklyn Robot Foundry. All of these positions have influenced the way I approach my work, my writing, and the way I interact with others in a professional setting. I’ve lived in London and New York, and have always had a unique perspective on international cultural matters. I am an avid drawer and a guitarist, but I would like to eventually work for a major news publication as an investigative journalist.
