Charli XCX‘s latest project, Pop 2, is full of collaborations. The UK native teamed up with Carly Rae Jepsen, Tove Lo, ALMA, Caroline Polachek, Brooke Candy, CupcakKe, Pabllo Vittar, Dorian Electra, Mykki Blanco, Tommy Cash, Kim Petras, Jay Park and MØ to release 10 song long mixtape. The mixtape is part of a three part series. The first release, Number 1 Angel, was released earlier this year in March. With both of these releases, Charli XCX has once again proved that she is a jet-setter in the pop world. She is able to meld multiple genres into one singular style. Like a hip-hop artist she is able to collaborate with an array of artists while still shining through.

Charli XCX teams up with Caroline Polachek for song titled, “Tears.” Polachek is known for her work as the vocalist for the synth pop duo, Charirlift. Polacheck joins Charli on the electronic, yet emotional track. Even with the synth-layering, Charli manages to appear wholeheartedly human. The venerable lyrics complement the ironically angelic screaming in the background.
