Red Bull Sound Select has partnered with DJ/Producer Mija for a charity show this December. Join Mija and friends at The Fonda Theatre on December 16th for her FK A Genre Tour. Mija will be performing alongside Tennyson, Kelli Schaefer and some TBA special guests.
In addition to great music, the Red Bull show will also support a great cause. Tickets for the show will support their charity partner, My Friend’s Place, a youth day shelter based in Hollywood. The charity was hand-picked by Mija herself. To support the cause, attendees can purchase t-shirts designed by Mija for a $10 minimum donation. 100% of the proceeds will go to My Friend’s Place. In addition, attendees are urged to bring unused pairs of socks or underwear to donate to the organization.
My Friend’s Place served over 1400 homeless youths last year alone, accounting for over one third of the homeless youth population in Los Angeles. Their mission is to “assist and inspire homeless youth to build self-sufficient lives.” Red Bull has invited the youth served by My Friend’s Place to Saturday’s show, providing free tickets. Mija will also visit the shelter to spend time with the group, attending their holiday party.
Mija has been steadily releasing music since 2014, releasing music as an independent artist as well as through collaborations Fools Gold and OWSLA. Head to the Fonda this Saturday for a night of good music for a good cause!
