Coming hot off a co-headlining tour, Wavves is set to perform at the Regent Theater in Los Angeles, California Dec. 30. Supported by Culture Abuse and French Vanilla, the 18 and up event will cost a concert goer $15. If you’re trying to have the New Year weekend stacked, check this Saturday show out. Spaceland has once again outdone themselves, throwing a premiere concert during the perfect weekend. It’ll cost $20 the day of the show, with doors opening at 7:30 PM. The show will start at 8:00 PM.
Wavves just went on a winter tour across the nation with Joyce Manor, Culture Abuse and French Vanilla. The band played 48 concerts in 2017, according to Songkick. However during that tour, the group didn’t actually hit LA. This time Angelenos have a chance to stay local and see a favorite. They only have two concerts coming up, with one of them the one at the Regent. On New Years Eve, Wavves will head to Palm Springs to perform at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club.
Hailing from San Diego, American rock band Wavves first formed in 2008 with vocalist Nathan Williams, guitarist Alex Gates, bassist Stephen Pope and drummer Brian Hill. The group has released six studio albums, one collaborative album and three extended plays since 2008, along with a plethora of singles.
Their latest album, You’re Welcome, was released in spring of this year. The album peaked at number 14 on the U.S. Billboard Independent Albums chart. Pitchfork said the album was “filled as always with ridiculously catchy garage-pop hooks” and that “Wavves’ sixth album is caught between exploring something new and rehashing something old.”
