Passion Pit Returns from Hiatus, Announces Winter 2018 Tour Dates

Passion Pit is back on tour. According to Pitchfork, they announced 2018 tour dates in North America, starting with January show at the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. Over the summer Passion Pit’s Michael Angelakos announced that he will be stepping away from music for the time being to focus on mental health advocacy for artists in the music industry. Angelakos started the Wishart Group earlier this year, company that focuses on “legal, educational, and healthcare services” to artists. He was true to his boycott from music and has not released anything new since Tremendous Sea of Love in March earlier this year. Before that, the band’s previous album was Kindred in 2015.

Passion Pit will be joined by Chris Hartz, Aaron Harrison Folb and Giuliano Pizzulo for the 2018 shows, which mark the first Passion Pit tour dates since 2016. Check out the tour dates below.

Amber Washington: Graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, majored in Media & Professional Communication. I play tennis and am always on the lookout for new music, very grateful for Apple Music. I composed music for a few months in college while living in New York which further sparked my passion for a career in the music industry. Live music is one of my all time favorite things to experience; First Avenue is my favorite venue, might be bias since I was born and raised in Minnesota. Happy ears, happy years.
