Continuing with the theme of special edition releases for Black Friday Record Store Day, The Bronx have announced that they will be reissuing their first three albums: I, II, and III on limited edition vinyl. While I and II have been released on LP in the past, they are both out of print, while III will be making its debut on 180-gram high-quality vinyl. All three albums will be limited to 500 copies each and will be available at independent record stores throughout the country.
The Bronx have had a successful year, releasing their latest scorcher of an album V earlier this year while also performing a series of strong shows throughout the country. Additionally, The Bronx have announced their third annual run of holiday shows, dubbed “White (Drugs) Christmas” which will see the band play a couple of shows in San Francisco and Long Beach.
As has been the case in previous years, this edition of Black Friday Record Store Day is a collector’s dream, with so many different and unique items being available for the first time. Chief among them is a limited edition cassette version of the Chris Cornell Cliff Poncier EP, and a collection of rarities from the late Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell entitled The Hitz. Meanwhile, current groups like At the Drive-In and Fleet Foxes will be releasing brand new EP’s for the event as well. Black Friday Record Store Day follows the successful Record Store Day (which is held every April), events that are meant to give fans extra incentive to shop at their local music stores with a bevvy of special edition releases.
