Dead Cross Release Ultraviolent NSFW Video for “Church of the Motherfuckers”

According to RevolverDead Cross just dropped a brutal new video for their song “Church of the Motherfuckers” the latest single off the metal-flavored group’s self-titled debut. The Fight Club-themed video shows two priests in a basement beating each other to a pulp while children cheer them on, a pregnant boy going into labor and a nun doing strange things with communion wafers. Dead Cross is an American hardcore punk/metal band, led by guitarist Mike Crain, bassist Justin Pearson, drummer Dave Lombardo and vocalist Mike Patton. Patton went from initially wanting to sign the band to his record label to becoming their frontman. They are currently on the second half of their first North American tour in promotion of their most recent–and only–album.

Bassist Justin Pearson, also of the Locust, says the band’s “Church of the Motherfuckers” video is an indication of the band’s stance on religion. “We are not capable of understanding aspects of molecular genetics, let alone the universe,” Pearson says of the video’s subversive theme. “I’d rather not fill in the blanks with outlandish oppressive morals, offensive social politics and patriarchal garbage. In the year 2017 A.D., some humans still think there is a god.”

Dead Cross was released August 4th via Ipecac Records. See the ultraviolent video below.
