Melody Prochet, the French musician who canceled a tour in June following a “serious accident,” just gave her fans an update.
“Dear friends, a million Merci for all the support letters and love Goodness health love and peace of mind to you all Melody,” it reads.
Prochet, looking well in the picture, wishes her fans and friends “peace of mind,” and gratitude for their support. Prochet has not released details concerning the accident, however Pitchfork points out that she released a song in April, “Cross My Heart” alongside an announcement of her next album, Bon Voyage. Prochet operates under the band name, Melody’s Echo Chamber. The self-titled debut album received substantial acclaim from critics, and a single, “Shirim,” came out in 2014. She also released one studio album with the band My Bee’s Garden named Hunt the Sleeper in 2010. A popular French chocolate is named after her home in France, Puyricard.
Prochet’s cancellation in June came as quite a surprise and her fans are surely relieved to hear she is doing well, and that she appreciate their support. Prochet had been actively touring throughout the two years leading up to the accident, playing sets at Coachella and Levitation Festival in 2016, and Austin Psych Fest in 2015. All shows received positive reviews and were visibly enjoyed by the crowds, fans and new listeners alike. More information on Prochet’s condition and her return to work will hopefully follow as the weeks go on. See her post below.
