Shovels and Rope

The High Water Music Festival is music festival that was created and hosted by husband and wife folk duo Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst, better known as Shovels & Rope. The two day music event created by the Charleston, South Carolina natives takes place at Charleston Riverfront Park, giving those in attendance 48 hours of musical celebration, food and liquid refreshments. Past lineups of the High Water Music Festival include Margo Price, Jump Little Children, Caroline Rose, Julien Baker and Slow Runner have all blessed the stage to rock out at the southern music event and it looks like next year’s lineup plans to do the same as well.

Recently it was repoted by Relix, that Shovels & Rope have announced that they themselves along with Band Of Horses and Brandi Carlile will be headlining this upcoming High Water Music Festival next year on April 21-22. The 2018 lineup will also include acts such as St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Shakey Graves, M. Ward, Hamilton Leithauser, Valerie June, Tank & The Bangas, Nicole Atkins, Susto, Old 97’s, Ian Felice and more. All festival information can be found here.
