DoLA, Late Night Laggers And Jack Daniel’s Present ESCÁNDALO: La Goony Chonga, Tomasa del Real, Chico Sonido, Helikonia, Bianca Oblivion, Chaboi, Canyonazo, Kidbusiness At The Bootleg Theater 11/11

DoLA, Jack Daniel’s and Late Night Laggers have teamed up to bring to Angelenos: Escándalo. Happening at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles on Nov. 11; get ready for a night of Reggaetón, Dembow, West Coast Hip Hop, Cumbia, Latin Trap and Perreo music with performances by La Goony Chonga, Tomasa del Real, Chico Sonido, Bianca Oblivion, Chaboi, Canyonazo, Helikonia, kidbusiness and more. It’s going to be a crazy event. For those that aren’t Spanish speakers, Escándalo means Scandal. With that title in mind, you should not miss out on this night. Cop a ticket while you still can.

The show will take place in 2 rooms there, with the event beginning at 9:00 PM. The show is 21 and over and will cost a concert-goer only $6 for the early bird discount and $10 after the fact. However, as this post was being written, the early bird discount is no longer available. Either way, $10 is still a really good price for a night full of amazing music. The event will cost $15 the day of the show. Super affordable, fun and packed with entertainment, the night is definitely one for the books.

Tomasa del Real, also known as Valeria Cisternas, is a 29-year-old Chilean reggaetón artist who quickly became a standout star with songs like “Préndelo” and “La Vampira.” She has been a featured rapper on tracks by a number of popular artists, including Adan Cruz and La Mafia del Amor. Originally a successful tattoo artist, she grew up in the coastal city of Iquique, Chile and performed in the band Ponciaoculta before her music career took off.

She studied design in the Chilean capital of Santiago and began traveling across the continent to tattoo her clients, according to 2016 article by the Fader. Along the way, she started playing DIY reggaetón parties in whatever town or city she was in. After a while, she began to be recognized for her experimental reggaetón beats and potently raunchy verses, according to the Fader.

“Over the past two years, del Real’s popularity has steadily grown, finding ears outside of South America,” wrote the Fader.

Miami rapper La Goony Chonga, originally known as Twiggy Masta Rasta, is known for her unique, sometimes off-the-wall lascivious, raw style. She is represented by Gwallah Gang Intl. Remezcla describes her music as Cardi B swerving hard into a trap-reggaeton hybrid in a feature profile story. Together with fellow emcee known as Booty Chaaain, she creates the duo Snob Mobb.

Snob Mobb has a pretty sweet following across the nation. The crew started back in Dade County when Hurricane Sandy trapped the two of them inside one day; to pass time by, they started freestyling. Now they’ve entered the rap game with an intense conviction, according to Remezcla. La Goony has a massive social media following, from Instagram to Tumblr, Twitter and Soundcloud, garnering thousands of likes from her fans. Her Soundcloud alone boasts over 7,000 followers. She’s released 2 EPs, titled SANTERIA PU$$Y (2013) and SANTERIA PU$$Y 2 (2015).
