Death, destruction and an emotionless society are in Dhani Harrison’s new music video for “All About Waiting.” The song is from his recently released debut album IN///PARALLEL. The animated video focuses on a woman who works in genetic manipulation lab and begins to doubt the benefits of her research. She grows sick and suffers from a multitude of health issues, and at the end of the video she is replaced by someone identical to her, insinuating that she is easily expendable. As Harrison’s unflagging guitar rips melodies through the background, she throws herself to her death in the final shot of the video. The song has an underlining message that everyone is becoming the same, and ultimately everyone will stop caring about things that matter, like each other.
“Everyone’s more disconnected than we’ve ever been before,” Harrison noted on Rolling Stone. “…News stories have a life of, what, a day now? The feed is just continuous. People just forget about stuff because the next day there’s something equally bad or terrible or fearful or wonderful that you’re missing out on.” Watch “All About Waiting” below.
Dhani Harrison will be touring the U.S. in support of his new album, IN///PARALLEL.
