Maynard James Keenan of Tool and A Perfect Circle fame has taken to Twitter today, confirming that new music is on the way. According to Alternativenation.com, this includes a new A Perfect Circle album cycle.
Stepping away from @caduceuscellars Bunker & straight into @aperfectcircle tour rehearsals. Gotta learn these new tracks #apc2018 #ineedanap

What the tweet is saying is that Keenan is leaving his winery, Caduceus Cellars, to get back to the music. Specifically, rehearsals for new A Perfect Circle songs. No details on when to expect the new music, but we know it’s coming. Additionally, he confirmed earlier this year that vocal work has begun on the new Tool album.
In a recent interview, Keenan discussed the nature of his songwriting process. “We’re not gonna beat you over the head with it, if you don’t want to get it, you don’t have to, you can just have some wine and food and move along. The songs, you can just tap your feet, jump up and down … No matter what the project – Puscifer, Perfect Circle, Tool – we’re trying to give you something that’s more than the sum of its parts.” He affirmed that he’s a lover of puzzles, and that’s what makes him so into winemaking.
