First Aid Kit, the Swedish duo consisting of sisters Klara and Johanna Soderberg have recently shared their brand new music music for their new single, “It’s A Shame.” The video, directed by the duo’s friend and longtime collaborator Matt Udd, takes the sisters through a Sliding Doors inspired journey as the two navigate the streets of Stockholm in parallel universes.

Within the video, which is inspired by the 1998 romantic drama starring Gwyneth Paltrow as a woman living in two timelines, each sister goes through the same surroundings, encountering the same people, but having completely opposite experiences. Filmed with a split screen, one side shows Johanna’s world as a happy and sunny as she explores the city in what resembles a movie musical while Klara’s is anything but as her world gets literal rain poured down on her.

The sisters shared their thoughts on the music video saying, We proudly present the video for “It’s A Shame,” directed by our dear friend and longtime collaborator Mats Udd. Inspired by “Sliding Doors” and musicals, watch it to see what happens to us during a nightly walk. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it!”

Ten years after releasing their acoustic cover of the Fleet Foxes “Tiger Mountain Peasant Song” on YouTube, the sisters have three albums and are currently working on a fourth album.
