If you didn’t get lucky the first time around copping a ticket for this event, you might get lucky the second time. RL Grime added a second Los Angeles show, Nov. 25, to his tour roster. Since the first show sold out it’s pretty safe to say that this one has the potential to sell out fast too.
The Nova Tour spans over 30 dates across North America, starting in British Columbia and ending in LA, which is RL Grime’s hometown. He will also be bringing artists Graves and Kittens along for the ride for support. Fans can purchase the ‘Because Of U’ VIP Package, which includes one general admission ticket, VIP early entry into the venue, a specially designed RL Grime tour shirt, an autographed poster and more unique goodies only VIP guests will receive.
RL Grime, also known as Henry Steinway, is just one of the stage names he goes by. Signed to WeDidIt Records, RL Grime is maybe better known as the artist Clockwork. He is mostly known for dabbling in the genres of hip hop, trap, grime and bass music. He’s known for creating loud, heavy, thunderous tracks that are grimy to the absolute core. RL Grime joined the WeDidIt collective in 2011 with fellow Los Angeles-born producers Shlohmo, Groundislava, and D33J. His debut EP, Grapes (2012), was subsequently released on WeDidIt to favorable reviews.
His follow-up EP titled High Beams was released in the following year via Fool’s Gold Records. It debuted at number 8 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Albums chart. RL Grime has produced remixes for a multitude of musicians, including Benny Benassi, Chief Keef, Kanye West and Shlohmo.
He’s also collaborated with Bauuer; many of his mixes are lurking across Soundcloud. His first full-length LP, Void, came out in 2014 to favorable reviews. There no doubt that there’s major hype for his upcoming sophomore album. It’s not clear when the album Nova is supposed to come out, but we can all hope that it’s soon since he’s on tour to support it.
