If you’re in the mood to release some emotion and energy, then I Prevail’s Chicago stop at the Concord Music Hall tonight is a must-see. This newly flourishing band brings all the energy and passion that you’ll need on their “Rage On The Stage Tour”, while recruiting help from bands such as, We Came As Romans, The Word Alive, and Escape the Fate.
When it comes to the latest sounding Alternative and Rock music, no one currently does it better than I Prevail. This Detroit-native band was nominated for “Breakthrough Band” at the 2016 APMAs (Alternative Press Music Awards). Their newest album “Lifelines” has also debuted at #1 on the Alternative and Rock music charts, earning them an album that ultimately charted at #15 on the Billboard Top 200. It’s safe to say that if you’re trying to listen and vibe with some of the best and most cutting-edge Rock music, there is few better than I Prevail.
Perhaps one of the most interesting aspects on the band however is their distinct style that helped them gain their fame. While it is important to note that the band has toured with well-known names such as Hollywood Undead and Pierce The Veil, they also have a very unique internet presence. Their cover of Taylor Swift’s smash hit “Blank Space” has been viewed 50 million times on YouTube, and earned 30 million streams on Spotify. Being able to take a song that was already made so popular by one of the world’s biggest artists, and having the skills to make it their own shows the creativity and ability of the Rock band, giving another reason to see their talent live at the Concord.
Look for them to rock-out to songs such as “Lifelines”, the title track from their latest album, as well as the crowd favorite “Scars”, and, of course the breakout cover of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space”. All sung by their lead vocalists Brain Burkheiser, and Eric Vanlerberghe, while Steve Menoian and Dylan Bowman shred guitar riffs as the lead guitarists.
