Soulwax first blew up 2017 when they announced that they were releasing their first new album, FROM DEEWEE in March of 2017, and well, we liked it a lot. But it appeared the new album was only the beginning, with the band releasing new video for “Do You Want to Get Into Trouble?”
To keep things going, the band has shared a video for their track “Is It Always Binary,” also from FROM DEEWEE. The new video features live footage of the band recorded live in London this past August, and shows the entire band jamming out on some drums to start off the bouncing, synth-driven track. With a lightshow that would make LCD Soundsystem blush, the infamous silver head from the album cover acts as a makeshift disco ball, rising up above the band shooting off light as it spins in circles. Whoever said electronic bands weren’t fun to watch perform clearly hasn’t seen Soulwax.
The video shoot is part of their live installation imagined by both Soulwax and III-Studio that went under the name of Transient Program for Drums and Machinery. This particular performance was recorded at 3 Mills Studios, and was captured by James Willis of Bullion Productions. T
More good news, the band added a second date to their London Roadhouse show during their December tour, where Joe Goddar and DJ duo Jarvis Cocker and Steve Mackey will act as support.
