Brainiac Tribute to Feature House Band with Marnie Stern, Travis Morrison, Melissa Auf der Maur and More Along with Surviving Members of Braniac

A untitled documentary is in the works for 90s Ohio art punks Brainiac. The documentary will be directed and produced by Eric Mahoney. The band is called The Heist featuring artist such as Melissa Auf Der Maur (Hole), Marnie Stern, Travis Morrison (Dismemberment Plan), Eli Janney (Girls Against Boys) , Matt Schulz (Holy Fuck, SAVAK), Seth Jabour, Charles Bissell, Gregg Foreman (Delta 72), Peter Aaron (Chrome Cranks), and surviving members of Braniac John Schmersal, Juan Monasterio, Tyler Trent, Michelle Bodine.

A tribute to Brainiac is set to take place December 9th at The Bell House in Brooklyn, New York. The Heist will be performing together along with the band Girls Against Boys, and SAVAK. The tribute performance will be included on the upcoming documentary.

For those of us who are to young to remember, Brainiac released three albums and a few EPs over the course of their career in the 90s. Their fourth album would never be released to the public due to the unfortunate loss of member Tim Taylor, who was killed in a car crash. The new documentary will be a tribute to Tim Taylor.
