As has been the case for much of this year, Nine Inch Nails have announced another one-off show, this time at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas on October 20th. This came via the band’s twitter account, with tickets set to go on sale in a couple of days. This follows similar show announcements earlier this year at Webster Hall and Rabobank Arena. Nine Inch Nails have roared back into activity this year, releasing their critically acclaimed Add Violence EP in addition to a robust set of festival headlining performances at FYF Fest and the Panorama Festival, with the group set to perform at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento in late October. The critical response from these performances has been quite positive, as fans have praised the group for including plenty of tracks spanning their whole musical career. Their show at Webster Hall included a performance of the song “She’s Gone Away” which made its live debut, while at the Panorama Festival, the band played an inspired cover of the David Bowie song “I Can’t Give Everything Away” from Bowie’s final album Blackstar.
Nine Inch Nails have become known for their incendiary and visually stunning live performances, and fans will no doubt see much of the same at this headlining show. While the group has been led by Trent Reznor since its inception, Atticus Ross, who worked with Reznor on numerous movie soundtracks, is now officially a member of the group. The two recently scored the soundtrack to the new Ken Burns documentary on the Vietnam War, which is currently airing on PBS and continues the excellent documentary filmmaking that has made Burns a household name.
