Classix Drop Funky New End-of-Summer Song “Possessive”

L.A. based electronic DJ duo Classixx, composed of childhood friends Michael David and Tyler Blake, have just dropped new song “Possessive,” as a tribute to the end of the summer, and the hope that it will never end.

The track notably features a sample of a gospel choir singing a lyric from the Nick Jonas track “Jealous.”

In both the track description on Soundcloud and its announcement tweet, Classixx declared the track an end-of-summer jam: “For the final days of summer, we’re giving out a new track to extend the pool party. We made this for fun with some help from our friend Vaughn Oliver. It’s called Possessive”

Recently, the DJ duo had covered “Right Now,” a single from Van Halen’s 1991 record For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge (or F.U.C.K.), as part of a new compilation album called Loosies, from their independent label Innovative Leisure.

Classixx had also just released the sophomore LP Faraway Reach last year to critical acclaim.

Check out “Possessive” and the announcement tweet below.
