Queens of the Stone Age Songs Appear By Mistake On Gordi’s New Vinyl

It seems that there has been quite a mix up between Queens of the Stone Age & Gordi. The two are both set to release new projects on August 25th, however according to Pitchfork, a couple of people on Reddit made it known that their vinyl copies of Gordi’s new album Reservoir had three unreleased Queens of the Stone Age tracks on its B-side. The songs that were accidentally featured on the wrong vinyl include “Fortress,” “Head Like a Haunted House,” and “Un-Reborn Again,” all that were intended to be on Queen of the Stone Age’s new album Villains.

Gordi’s label Jagjaguwar’s partner Secretly Group’s founder Chris Swanson talked about the accident with Pitchfork stating “This is a pressing defect that we’re working diligently to resolve as quickly as possible. It’s not the first time this sort of thing has happened, but we’re all hoping it’s the last.” Even Gordi made a comment of the situation by jokingly saying “Obviously I was aware that the Queens of the Stone Age album was coming out the same week as mine and I was aware it would probably garner all the limelight, so the logical solution was to just chuck a bunch of their songs on Reservoir. I anticipate either people won’t notice or they’ll appreciate the dynamic shift.”
