In the past couple of months Mutemath fans have received some great news of the New Orleans alternative rock band. Announcements such as the release of their first single “Hit Parade,” fall dates for their “Play Dead Live” tour and the arrival of their upcoming album Play Dead show that Paul Meany, Todd Gummerman & Jonathan Allen are prepared to keep their fans satisfied for the remainder of 2017, especially after recently sharing their video to their third single “War.”
The video of “War” takes place in the Dew Drop & Jazz Social Hall, a historic Louisiana venue that was built in 1895 that has hosted some legendary jazz artist such as Louis Armstrong, Bunk Johnson, Buddy Petit and Kid Ory. “War” talks about the feeling of being a natural born fighter, the paranoia suspicion of always having to prepare to strike back because you sense a deadly strike is always headed your way. Directors Jakub Blank and Daniel Bowen create militant animated shots that display the feelings Mutemath express in their lyrics while they jam out in the Dew Drop and Jazz Social Hall.
