If you’re looking for a weekend getaway outside the city, then it’s time to head to Montauk’s Surf Lodge on August 18th and 19th for some much-needed relaxation and sun, with surfing, art, workshops and of course, music. Presented by House of Vans and SPIN, this weekend will be jammed with fun, cool people and awesome vibes. Basically, you’ll hope that the train back to the city stops running and everyone gets stuck at Surf Lodge to continue on the weekend.
The weekend will feature a screen printing workshop curated by House of Vans ambassador Alex Knost, a screening of the surf flick Greetings featuring pro-surfers Dylan Graves, Pat & Dane Gudauskas and Wade Goodall (on Friday) and paddleboard lessons by Paddle Diva. Brooklyn band The Dig will perform on Friday at 7 p.m., and then on Saturday at 7 p.m. Jenny Lewis will take the stage. Alex Knost will also further explain what “Off the Wall” really means, including the culture and inspiration behind it.
This weekend of fun and music is free (no RSVP required), so gear up with your sunglasses and bathing suit, your most gnarly surfboard stance, and get rocking with some badass tunes.
