If you’ve ever wanted to attend oktoberfest but just a little more Brooklyn, OctFest is just for you. The new craft beer and music festival is organized by Pitchfork, highlighting their new beer-themed offshoot, “October.” With 40 breweries involved, unlimited tasting, and a great lineup, it’s really the kind of event that sells itself.
OctFest will include musical acts by Guided by Voices, Okkervil River, the Sadies, Charles Bradley, Kilo Kish, and the Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Selections of craft beer will be coming from local, national, and even international breweries. Standouts include Singlecut, 4 Hands, New Belgium, Radeberger Gruppe, and Weihenstephan. The OctFest website also promises some special surprises, “You’ll be surrounded by amazing beer, food, and music, with plenty of other surprises. The Brooklyn Hanger, a warehouse generally reserved for rave events, will host the festival.
With just one month till September 9th and OctFest, anyone interested should get tickets now. They can be found online here, $60 for an individual ticket and $100 for a pair.
