Quicksand @ Mohawk 9/15

Quicksand is a post-hardcore quartet from New York City. Forming in 1990, the band has had some ups and downs throughout the years. The original members have been the same since the start. They have separated twice in 1995 and again in 1999. After the split in 1999, the members went their separate ways and did their own thing. The quartet joined together in 2012 to play at Revelation Records 25^th Anniversary Shows as the ‘special guest.’ Since then, Quicksand has performed a few shows and it is rumored that they might be working on new material.

The four have released two albums, one EP and a few singles. Quicksand hasn’t released any new material since the 90s. Their first album Slip was released in 1993 and second album Manic Compression was out in 1995. With their tour kicking off in September, this could mean a reunion and an upcoming album in the near future.
